• I’m currently based in Malmö, Sweden.

But I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, US.

  • I studied psychology and linguistics in undergrad and was originally planning to pursue a clinical psychology degree in the UK. Instead, I made a sharp turn toward cognitive science—and took a big life gamble—by moving to Sweden for grad school.

The reason for the pivot? To be closer to my now-husband…who I wasn’t even dating at the time. We met during my exchange semester in Lund and kept in touch after I returned home. Naturally, I ended up in Umeå—which is about as far from Lund as you can get while still staying in the same country. In hindsight, London would’ve been closer.

Still, it all worked out: I earned a couple of degrees, got married, and scored a pretty unique domain name!

  • Product design is part puzzle, part detective work—I love uncovering the motive, connecting the clues, digging into the details, and cracking the solution.

Developers are my favorite partners in sleuthing, but I’m just as comfortable taking on a case solo. Whether I’m mapping a flow, fine-tuning microcopy, or stress-testing prototypes, I’m all about crafting intuitive, clean, and usable experiences.

  • I generally follow the double-diamond framework—though in the real world, things rarely stick to a strict plan. My process starts with understanding the core problems and user needs, separating those from the nice-to-haves. Depending on the project’s scope, I might jump straight into high-fidelity design or begin with rough concepts to explore ideas.

For larger, more ambiguous projects, I let my imagination run free, and then bridge the gap between the ideal solution and what’s currently in production by breaking down the work into manageable, implementable steps. Throughout ideation, no matter the project size, I regularly check in with developers and product managers to align on feasibility and value—these conversations often lead to unexpected, better solutions.

I also run quick usability tests to ensure designs are intuitive and meet user goals. Once we’ve refined the design, acceptance criteria are documented, and I lead a final walkthrough with the team to ensure everyone is on the same page—no surprises here, thanks to continuous collaboration.

Of course, even “final” designs can change when unexpected challenges pop up—and that’s part of the fun. I love teaming up with developers to troubleshoot and find the best fixes together.

  • I (allegedly) type very fast - on a US keyboard.
